Maria, Poole, Dorset

It is particularly helpful to add a drop of Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil to drinking water to aid detoxification. This is true of several citrus essential oils, particularly Organic Grapefruit Essential Oil and Organic Lemon Essential Oil. These three citrus essential oils are also thought to aid weight loss. However, Organic Grapefruit Essential Oil is considered to be the ultimate weight loss essential oil!

Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil Drinking Water

Simply add a drop of Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil to a tumbler of water to make an exceptionally moreish and refreshing drink. Doing this will not only lead to an increase in your water consumption, (because it’s delicious), it will improve detoxification, and also help recondition your digestive track whilst spring-cleaning your Liver and Gall Bladder.

A tumbler is approximately 200ml of water. (Make sure to drink purified water, and remineralise it.)

Do this 20 minutes before each meal to aid digestion.

Toothpaste

It is also a very effective ingredient in homemade toothpastes.

Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil and Copaiba Essential Oil make for a great combination when used together. Both offer many benefits for oral hygiene, and this combination is safe for young children.

A blend of Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil and Copaiba Essential Oil also benefits from having a mild taste, unlike some of the other essential oils used for oral hygiene.

Oil Pulling

It is also very helpful to use organic essential oils for oil pulling.

A couple of drops of Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil along with a couple of drops of Copaiba Balsam Essential Oil can be added to a rounded dessert spoon of Organic Coconut Oil for this purpose.

Coconut Oil is a great option for oil pulling as it is antimicrobial.

Organic Peppermint Essential Oil and Organic Clove Leaf Essential Oil are also excellent choices for this purpose. All of these oils have specific strengths, so it’s good to alternate them. Clove Leaf is thought to help remineralise teeth, for example.

Wild As The Wind also carry a Wildcrafted Organic Peppermint Essential Oil and ethically sourced versions of Clove Leaf and Peppermint aromatherapy oils.

Oil Pulling For Dental & Digestive Health

Oil pulling is a fantastic way of naturally reducing harmful bacteria in our mouths.

*Neutralising oral bacteria can positively impact digestive health and halitosis.

Simply add a couple of drops of essential oil to a dessert spoon of Organic Coconut Oil, place in your mouth and swish around your mouth and through your teeth for up to 20 minutes.

Never swallow your swished oil mixture, and avoid emptying them down the drain of your sink. It is better to spit the used oil into a well lined bin to protect your plumbing from potential oil build-ups.

Only Buy Organic Citrus Essential Oils

Citrus Essential Oils are usually cold pressed from the skins of citrus fruits. Because conventionally grown essential oils are regularly sprayed with toxic insecticides etc. this means citrus essential oils which are obtained from conventionally grown fruit will have very high concentrations of toxins in them.

It is, therefore, exceptionally important to only ever buy organic citrus essential oils.

Thank you for your recommended remedy for my face eczema, which has responded really well to the internal consumption of nigella sativa & sweet orange & the external application of calendula & ease oil.
I’m so pleased with the results; it has made a big difference to my skin.

  2. Jackie (verified owner)

I purchased this and the ginger oil for a friend. I must admit I had a sniff before gifting and it was wonderfully settling. Plan to get some for my next road trip.

  3. Susan Hardy (verified owner)

Out of the blue I became very poorly with nausea & couldn’t eat meals my stomach filled with gas like I’ve never experienced & was very painful, after getting blood tests & liver & gallbladder test which were all good & my diet well I’ve eaten organically for 35years and don’t smoke drink in moderation so I’m putting this down to stress.
Rachel’s oil are my GO to first step for help and I ordered Organic Orange oil, it tastes like a delightful orange pop when used with good water & soon the growling noises stopped in my stomach & helped me get my appetite back..
which was a relief just that first step in offering my system relief was mentally helpful not just physically..

This has been such a benefit to our son with his IBS throughout his exams. He and I both use it now. I have always struggled to drink enough water, but with only a couple of drops added to it, I’ve turned this around and I’ve been drinking a lot. It tastes natural and healthy and is a good detox too. It prompted me to order the lemon one too, which is just as refreshing! Thank you.

  5. Lucy (verified owner)

Beautiful fresh aroma, I find it so heavenly! I add a drop or two to some sparkling water for a refreshing drink which tastes delicious. Also use as part of the Torso Trio (lemon, orange & grapefruit) to help with digestive health, liver and gallbladder support, I feel that it’s helping with the bloating I can experience.

  6. michelle.muir13 (verified owner)

This oil is lovely, smells great, tastes great and has so many uses.
I use 1 drop in a glass of cooled boiled water x3 daily after taking my half tsp of black seed oil x2 daily 20mins before food. I also chew on a very small piece of wild as the winds Myrr resin and frankincense resin. I suffer with digestive issues and no appetite. Only been on this combo for 1 week and my appetite has increased greatly and my tummy has settled some what. Think I might use for ten days then have a break.

  7. Caroline (verified owner)

Bursting with fresh orange scent. The oil is truly something special. I feel like I’m standing in a warm orange Grove every time I use it on my clients.
Love it and you will too. A little goes a long way. Highly recommend wild as the wind always a pleasure to deal with.

    • Rachel Wild

Thanks so much for your feedback Caroline. x x x I deeply appreciate it when therapists recommend Wild As The Wind oils, as your insights are understandably considered to be better informed than others. x x x

  8. Linda Aspinall (verified owner)

I really like the smell of this EO. I use it in my skincare with other EOs for about one week and I can feel the difference to my skin. I think I will try adding one drop to a glass of water for detox, sounds like a good idea from the other reviews on here. Thank you.

    • Rachel Wild

Hi Linda, yes, the smell of this Organic Sweet Orange is really something else isn’t it. Very special! I’m so glad you’re enjoying it. x x x

  9. Norm, Yorkshire (verified owner)

I’ve just received my first order of Sweet Orange Essential oil and I will be – like others I’m sure – using this to practice ‘oil-pulling’ (see here https://www.wilddigital.co.uk/morning-detox-protocols/) as well as diffusing and the many other uses – it smells absolutely gorgeous and really lifts you up! 🙂

    • Rachel Wild

Oh great! Oil pulling is so detoxing. I’m so glad you like this oil and you are going to try oil pulling. (I also add a drop of Sweet Orange to my drinking water… it tastes fantastic and helps cleanse our Liver and Gall Bladder as well as reconditioning our digestive tract! It’s an amazing oil!)

  10. Isobel Graham (verified owner)

I love the freshness of the sweet orange. I’ve only diffused it so far in my kitchen and I love how fresh it makes my kitchen smell. Great oil!

    • Rachel Wild

Thanks Izzy, really appreciate your feedback. Yes, citrus essential oils are fab for kitchens as they tend to neutralise cooking smells. But, if you love it in your diffuser just wait until you add it to your drinking water. It’s AMAZING!

  11. Jo Goring (verified owner)

Love this oil. Have been adding it to a home made toothpaste and my 2 year old loves the flavour and is more willing to clean her teeth. She complains that normal toothpaste flavours are ‘too spicy’. So happy to have found this and been given lots of helpful info by the lovely Rachel.

    • Rachel Wild

      Thanks Jo, you’re welcome x x x

  12. Sam Gray (verified owner)

Plan to use this on alternate days with white grapefruit oil, am hoping it will also help my sinuses and my waist line too. I also love the smell of orange instantly uplifts my mood.

Thanks so much for you fantastic feedback. It’s very much appreciated. x x x

  13. Christine Robinson

Just Love this Sweet Orange Essential oil! I use it every morning, as directed, 2 drops in a little warm water, not only is it a welcoming refreshing drink first thing it seems to suppress my appetite hence it has reduced my wasteline! My nasal & sinuses have cleared too and I feel overall calmer. 5 stars from me and just ordered the large 30ml bottle, along with loads of Rachel’s other superb products!

    • Rachel Wild

Hi Christine, thanks very much for your feedback. I’m glad Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil is working so well for you.

  14. Carol Seville (verified owner)

Love this essential oil. Orange is my favourite smell and colour!! Bought this to commence oil pulling (read Rachel’s info regarding increased benefits of pulling with this oil) and for cleaning. As it is food grade, I know that it can also be used for flavouring my home made chocolate so the uses are endless. Totally recommend.

    • Rachel Wild

Oil pulling detoxifies the body. It’s an amazing self-help therapy 🙂 Adding up to 5 drops of Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil to a generous level dessert spoon of coconut oil and swishing this combo around our mouths, and through our teeth, before spitting it out, will improve dental hygiene, tooth and gum health as well as helping to detoxify the body. Sweet Orange Essential Oil is an anti-oxidant.

It can also be added to drinking water. (One to two drops per 200ml tumbler. No more than three galsses daily. Best drunk 20 minutes before meals.
