Performing A Patch Test
It is important to perform a patch test before liberally applying a product on your skin.
Patch tests are designed to reveal if you have an intolerance or allergy to a specific substance.
Performing a patch test can prevent large-scale undesired reactions to a substance.
Performing a patch test, when using a new product, is particularly important if you are prone to food sensitivities, allergies and intolerances.
Patch tests are also strongly advised if you are on prescription medication.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult your healthcare provider prior to using any Wild As The Wind product, and always perform a patch test prior to use, once your Wild As The Wind product has been medically approved for use.
Using Essential Oils & Carrier Oils
Essential oils must never be applied topically to the skin in their undiluted form.
You must always dilute essential oils in a suitable carrier oil. Please consult Diluting Essential Oils to learn how to do this.

How To Perform A Patch Test
Place a drop or two of Wild As The Wind oil on your inner forearm, making sure to massage it well into your skin.
A severe reaction will occur within ten minutes, but it may take 24 hours for milder intolerances to emerge.
Look for signs of Urticaria, (aka Hives), discolouration, redness, dryness, or feelings of irritation / itchiness.
If you experience none of these, you will be safe to use your Wild As The Wind product elsewhere on your body, including your face.
Nevertheless, always avoid sensitive areas and inside your ears unless otherwise instructed by your health professional. This is especially important if you use a Wild As The Wind oil as a carrier oil for diluting essential oils.
